Fun News Friday: Woman finds pet in unexpected place, couple visits 645 Cracker Barrel restaurants

Happy September! The first week of Fall Semester is officially over. You made it. It’s time to take a break and enjoy a look back at the most ridiculous and fun news of the week.

1. One couple visits every single Cracker Barrel in the country

Ray and Wilma Yoder visited all 645 Cracker Barrel restaurants in the country. The couple from Indiana took 40 years working toward their goal, Mashable reported

When the couple visited its very last Cracker Barrel in Tualatin, Oregon, it was Ray’s 81st birthday.

2. Woman adopts frog after finding it in her salad

Sometimes good things just hop into your life. Beck Garfinkel found a frog in her packaged salad that she bought at a Target in California.

"I was going to stab at it and take a bite, and I see it...and I scream," Garfinkel told the Los Angeles Times

She quickly discovered it was alive, and named it Lucky. Garfinkel kept the frog, and it’s officially living its best life.

Jim McIngvale, aka "Mattress Mack," owns two furniture stores in the Houston area, and he opened them for anyone who needed a safe place to stay during the Hurricane Harvey aftermath.

"They're sleeping on hundreds of mattresses throughout the store. They're sleeping on the couches — wherever they can find a place that's comfortable, and God bless 'em," McIngvale told NPR.

McIngvale also helped out during Hurricane Katrina 12 years ago, BuzzFeed reported.

4. This video of a panda caretaker playing with pandas exists

I have found my dream job. This video features a human in a panda suit making real little baby pandas the happiest in the whole world. Please just watch.

5. 35-pound cat becomes real star of of wedding photos

A very fat cat named Vito posed with his owners and truthfully stole the show.

“We wished that we could've included him in our wedding because everybody loves him and would've thought it was hilarious, but we got married two hours away," Berkeley of Mount Rainier, Maryland, told ABC News. "We love the pictures. As soon as we get the raw images back from [the photographer], we are going to blow a bunch up and hang them on the wall."
