Eric Herman, a former Bobcat offensive lineman, signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Terms of the deal were not immediately available, but the contract will likely be a one-year deal.
Herman was a seventh-round draft pick by the New York Giants in 2013, and after being waived by the team last September, joined the Baltimore Ravens practice squad in December.
The guard has yet to start or play in one NFL game as of this point in his career.
Herman started every game from his sophomore to senior season, earning a 40 consecutive games played streak along the way. He was a senior on the 2012 team, the unit that defeated Penn State 24-14 in Happy Valley.
The Oregon, Ohio, native attended Toledo Central Catholic High School.
Herman announced the signing on his Twitter account late this afternoon.
