Nelsonville Music Festival rolls out its second round of artist announcements.
The Flaming Lips, Natural Child and Lucero are among the second round of acts announced to be a part of the 2015 Nelsonville Music Festival.
Stuarts Opera House added seven more acts to the lineup for the 11th Nelsonville Music Festival Friday morning in a video posted on YouTube. The acts include Good English, Natural Child, Sarah Neufeld, Greg Brown, Oblivians, Lucero and The Flaming Lips.
St. Vincent, Trampled by Turtles and Merle Haggard are also on the schedule to perform at the festival.
2015 is the 11th year the event will take place. Past years of the festival included acts such as The Avett Brothers, Dinosaur Jr., Guided by Voices, Shovels & Rope and Jason Isbell.
The Flaming Lips, a noise rock band, performed at the festival in 2011, and recently released the album “With a Little Help From My Fwends,” a tribute to The Beatles which features Miley Cyrus on vocals.
Natural Child is an alternative, southern rock Nashville based trio. The group has released a variety of new music throughout the last year through EPs.
Lucero, another announced act, is a country punk rock band. Their most recent album, Live From Atlanta, is a 32-song live set recorded in Atlanta's Terminal West.
