Field Hockey: A breakdown of Ohio's matchup against Missouri State, repercussions on postseason

The Post breaks down Ohio's postseason outlook and what a win/lose to Missouri State could mean for the Bobcats.

With its final Mid-American Conference matchup against Missouri State starting at 3 PM, here’s how things could play out regarding Ohio and its playoff outlook:

If Ohio wins against Missouri State and Miami, Central Michigan lose — Ohio is in second place.

If Ohio, Central Michigan win and Miami loses — Ohio is in third place.

If Ohio, Miami win and Central Michigan loses — Ohio is in fourth place because of a tie breaker from goals scored.

If Ohio, Miami and Central Michigan all win — Ohio is in fourth place.

If Ohio loses to Missouri State, regardless of Miami and Central Michigan’s matchups — Ohio is in fourth place.
