The Ohio University Singers will sing onstage with The Rolling Stones this summer, according to an announcement made on the group's Facebook page Monday evening.
The group, which is a mixed ensemble of 40 to 50 people, is about eighty percent music majors. Students audition to get into the group.
The University Singers have performed on NPR, overseas in locales such as Austria and Germany as well as various areas in the United States.
The Rolling Stones are a long-running rock group that have been playing together since 1962. The band has produced more than 20 albums and have received multiple awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Details about when and where the University Singers will perform with The Rolling Stones have not yet been released.
