As results for the 2020 Presidential Election continue to pour in during a close race, President Donald Trump’s campaign has announced that it will sue to stop the counting of votes in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania so that it can observe more of the counting process in those states.
The campaign is claiming that votes were being counted in Michigan when it did not have access to review the tallying process. The campaign also wants to get involved in an ongoing Supreme Court case that deals with Pennsylvania extending its mail-in ballot deadlines.
In Georgia, the campaign claims that a Republican observer saw a poll worker mix unprocessed absentee ballots with processed ones.
One of the campaign’s legal actions aims to stop Democratic officials from hiding “ballot counting and processing from our Republican poll observers.” Another suit aims to undo the extension of the deadline for absentee and mail-in voters to provide missing proof of identification.
Michigan and Georgia hold 16 electoral votes each. Pennsylvania has 20 votes.
Trump’s campaign is also paying close attention to other states for what it believes could be incorrect or fraudulent results.
