Quilt Fest at 10 a.m. at The Dairy Barn Arts Center, 8000 Dairy Lane. In celebration of everything fiber, check out booths full of crafting tools and ready-to-purchase items from fiber artists. This event is co-sponsored by The Dairy Barn and the Athens Area Fiber Faire, and it will also take place on Sunday. The Dairy Barn also has numerous crafts available to make this weekend, which you can find here.

Ohio vs. Rhode Island at 2 p.m. at Peden Stadium, 200 Richland Ave. See the Bobcats take on the Rams for their first game of the season. This game will also include the Marching 110’s annual Band Day, which features high school bands from all over Ohio.
