The Mid-American Conference released its preseason coaches poll Tuesday morning, and the Bobcats were selected to finish third in the MAC East Division for the second consecutive season.
Ohio received two first-place votes and finished with 51 points and also received a vote to win the MAC Championship. Kent State was picked to win the MAC East this season, receiving six first-place votes and 63 points.
Miami, who is picked to take second in the East, received 55 points and two first-place votes. The final two votes to win the East went to Buffalo, who totaled 46 points in the poll and is predicted to finish fourth.
