Tom Brady earns seventh Super Bowl ring; OU is now offering mental health services for free to in and out-of-state students

Today is Monday, February 8. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

Tom Brady did it. He officially won his seventh Super Bowl ring. As for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady led them to their second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

The Super Bowl ultimately prevailed through COVID-19 and was played at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida -- the first team ever to play a home game for the Bowl. Tampa Bay became the new Super Bowl champions after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.

The stakes were high going into the big game as Mahomes and the Chiefs were favored to win over the Bucs as they beat them prior in week 12, 27-24.

There was no doubt talent would be displayed all over the field as the 42-year-old and 25-year-old would go head-to-head.

Additionally, to top off an already good show, The Weeknd performed at Super Bowl LV. His set was jam packed with his most favored, popular hits as he had background dancers dressed as his infamous new After Hours character and bright -- some may say -- “blinding” lights, backing him as he sung with applaudable vocals.
