The Division of Student Affairs is hosting a farewell reception for Ryan Lombardi, outgoing vice president for Student Affairs, on Friday.
Ryan Lombardi will be getting a send-off from Ohio University before he moves to his new job at Cornell University.
A farewell reception for Lombardi, the outgoing vice president for Student Affairs, will be held Friday afternoon at the 1804 Lounge in Baker University Center.
The reception will last from 1 to 3 p.m. and is being hosted by the Division of Student Affairs. Cake and ice cream will be provided at the event, which is free and open to the public.
In May, Lombardi announced he will be leaving OU to work as vice president for Student and Campus Life at Cornell University. His final day at OU will be July 3 and his new job at Cornell will start Aug. 1.

Lombardi started at OU in May 2008 and served as associate vice president for Student Affairs and dean of students. In June 2012 he became the interim vice president for Student Affairs and held the position full-time starting in January 2013.
OU is launching a national search to fill Lombardi’s position, but in the meantime the university appointed Jenny Hall-Jones as the interim vice president for Student Affairs.
Hall-Jones, who will start as interim vice president July 1, will continue to serve as dean of students during her time as interim vice president, splitting her time between Cutler Hall and Baker, according to a previous Post report.
