Letter: Former OU student gives support to call center union

Some students are trying to form a union in order to get better rights.

The student workers in the call center are trying to start a union. These students are making minimum wage and will have massive student debt. I'm pretty sure that the pope thinks that's a sin. So, the university has hired a union busting firm, International Labor Relations. I'm taking a wild guess here, but I bet that the university is paying them way, way more than what all the student workers in the call center make in a year. Some things never change. I was one of the student workers who tried to start a union in 1974. We put up a good fight, but they defeated us with their trickery. Best of luck to the new union!
