Ohio's fast start left many thinking that a Bowl Championship Series game berth could become a reality. However actuality proved to be far harsher, as the Bobcats lost four of their last five by combined score of 129-67.
They will play in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 28 against the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
Notably, the Warhawks beat then-No. 8 Arkansas 34-31 in overtime in their season-opener.
