Today is Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019. Here’s what you need to know:
Good morning,
“Alexa, turn off the oven.”
Amazon’s AI might already be in your home, but Alexa will soon be much, much closer to you. The company is putting the home assistant into earbuds, eyeglasses and even an oven.
The new glasses will have special speakers that let only users hear Alexa as she tells them the weather or plays songs, CNN wrote. The $250 smart oven will allow users to program certain recipes, and a $59 smart clock will show users the weather when they wake up.
The company is also introducing a $199 high-end smart speaker to compete with companies that already have Alexa-compatible devices.
Amazon is also letting users swap out Alexa’s voice for Samuel L. Jackson’s.
