David Underwood, the coordinator of the College of Business' MBA program, died of unknown causes in January.
Coordinator of Ohio University’s College of Business’ MBA program, David Underwood, died Jan. 17, according to a March 16 university news release .
Underwood, 63, was a resident of Guysville, Ohio. His cause of death is still unknown, Underwood’s wife, Nellia Monteroso Underwood, said.
“He is a very caring person,” said David’s wife. “He likes to do things for people.”
He began working for the College of Business in 1994, according to a university news release.
"David Underwood cared deeply about making an impact for his colleagues in both live and virtual classrooms," Adam Yulish, a business system engineer in the College of Business who worked closely with Underwood, said in the release. "He made elevating his colleagues a principle of his life."
Underwood volunteered for the American Red Cross. He was a veteran of the Navy, an active reservist and a veteran of Desert Storm.
He also worked as a government liaison to Athens County.
