TV Review: Hannah puts her foot down on this week’s episode of ‘The Bachelorette’

Roar! This week on The Bachelorette, Hannah Beast was out … and certainly not to play. The beauty queen had no problem putting her foot down this week, fully taking charge of her time with the guys and definitely not giving out any “pity roses.”

The first group date pushed it to the limit as Jonathan, Matteo, John Paul Jones, Kevin, Jed, Tyler C., Mike and Cam experienced pregnancy and motherhood. The guys began the date with a quiz, which resulted in only Jed correctly answering about basic female reproduction. Cam thought the gestation period was two weeks. Tyler C. thought pregnancy entailed women getter “bigger and bigger” and “hungrier and hungrier.” Yes, sex education should definitely be mandatory.

Next up was the one-on-one with Connor S. Before the two can “set sail on their love story,” Hannah has to go to the hospital and is unable to go on the date. However, she does invite him to her suite to accompany her while she’s not feeling so hot. And yes, the guys were JEALOUS. The two cuddle up and share a few vulnerable stories about their pasts, and she ends up giving him a rose later in the evening.

Luke P. and Cam definitely sealed their own fates during this week’s episode. Hannah finally took the blinders off and had no problem telling Luke to back off after noticing his controlling behavior. But surprise, surprise … he’s suddenly not in love with her and might be leaving that same night! Shocker.

During the pre-rose ceremony tailgate, Cam tries a last ditch effort to secure a “pity rose” by detailing his entire medical history that included an amputated leg, which was never shown. Hmm. Hannah thought the act was “schemmy” and “slimy,” which leads to Cam getting the chopping block at the end of the night. Lesson learned: chicken nugget drama, alleged amputee legs and pity roses don’t get you far when it comes to love.
