The candidates for Ohio University’s Vice President for Student Affairs have been announced by Executive President and Provost Pam Benoit, according to a news release.
The candidates are Ricardo Hall, David Parrott and Jason Pina, who are all administrators at other universities.
Within the next month, the three candidates will come to campus to be interviewed and will have a chance to present to the university community during open forums in the Living Learning Center on South Green.
The selected candidate will be announced before the end of Spring Semester, according to the news release.
Hall is the associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students at the University of Miami and will present on Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. He is a two-time OU alumnus, where he received his master's degree in higher education administration and his bachelor's degree in business management. Hall went on to Clemson University and received his Doctor of Philosophy in educational leadership.
Parrott is the executive associate vice president and chief of staff at Texas A&M University and will present March 7 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. He earned his bachelor's degree in business management and master's degree in counselor education from Western Kentucky University. Parrott received his doctorate from the University of Louisville.
Pina is the vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Bridgewater State University and will present March 9 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. He earned his bachelor's degree of economics from Occidental College, his master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Northern Colorado and doctorate of education in higher education leadership from Johnson and Wales University.
Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Jenny Hall-Jones said she encourages students to attend the open forums.

“I look forward to meeting our finalists and hearing their visions for our future,” Hall-Jones said in an email.
OU’s former vice president for Student Affairs Ryan Lombardi accepted the job as vice president for Student and Campus Life at Cornell University before leaving OU on July 3. After Lombardi’s announcement, Dean of Students Jenny Hall-Jones was named interim vice president for Student Affairs and July 1 was her first day in that position.
The search firm Brill-Neumann and Associates has been working with a search committee chaired by Benoit that is composed of faculty, staff and students. OU is paying the search firm $70,000 plus expenses, according to a previous Post report. On Oct. 2, the job was first posted and a full description was posted Nov. 19, according to a previous Post report.
