Ohio will play Miami on Saturday in an attempt to grab second seed in the Mid-American conference.
Ohio is on a two-game slide, but as the team heads into its final regular season game against Miami (OH), its looking to do one thing: win.
The Bobcats (8-8, 3-2 Mid-American Conference) have shown inconsistencies throughout the season, as they dropped the previous two games after winning three in a row.
But as they play their last regular season game against the RedHawks (10-7, 4-1 MAC), their focus seems to be attentive and vigilant.
“We’re pretty much just looking for the win,” said redshirt sophomore Kennedy Farr. “That would be great.”
This focus stems from a recent lack of consistency on both ends of the field, as the Bobcats have scored just three goals during their past two games. When Ohio was on its three-game win streak, it scored 13 goals.
If the Bobcats win against the Redhawks, who are at the top of the MAC with the Golden Flashes, then Ohio will be the No. 2 seed in the tournament, depending on whether Kent State loses to Ball State on Nov. 1.

“If we can play the whole game hard and not give up any silly goals, we’ll be good,” freshman Emma Eggleston said.
Along with the Bobcats not being as productive on the offensive end, their production on defense has dwindled as of late, allowing six goals in the past two games. They have allowed 2.19 goals per game this season.
The Bobcats’ main goal this season is to be successful in the MAC and ultimately win the MAC title. As the regular season winds down, the team has had to reignite its focus.
“I think our drive and our commitment to our teammates will hopefully show up,” Farr said.
