Ohio’s long march through February continues when it travels to face Central Michigan in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on Thursday night.
The Bobcats (19-4, 10-2 Mid-American Conference) need a rebound. They were blown out by Toledo on Tuesday night and have been knocked down to second place in the MAC. They’ve also played four games in the past nine days and will be without more than a day of rest before they play in Mount Pleasant.
A rebound won’t come without struggle. Central Michigan (6-14, 5-4 MAC) has won four of its last five games and leaped to sixth place in the conference standings. However, three of those wins were by six points or less, and every win came against a team in the bottom half of the rankings. Central Michigan has been winning games, but it has yet to upset any of the top teams in the MAC.
