Former Ohio University power forward Brandon Hunter may have graduated, but he does not have to let go of the green and white just yet. Hunter was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the second round, and was the 56th overall pick in the NBA draft last Thursday.
The 6-foot 7-inch, 260-pound Hunter was taken by the Celtics after they acquired the selection from the Sacramento Kings.
Hunter became the first Ohio player to be drafted since Gary Trent was taken number 11 by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1995.
Although Hunter was projected to be an early second-round pick after the NCAA season, Celtics General Manager Chris Wallace said his draft position was not important.
