Top Ohio University officials will gather in one of Athens’ newest buildings to discuss the way the landscape will appear within 10 years, after major construction projects are completed.
Mock-ups and upcoming construction will be discussed.
“We want the students to be able to see this,” said Dru Evarts, who helped organize the event and is president of OU’s Emeriti Association.
The association, a university organization for retired staff and faculty, is sponsoring the event.
Pending construction projects will also be discussed, including how the College Green landscape will change during summer break, Evarts said.
The association meets with OU President Roderick McDavis, who will attend, every year.
The forum will also include Joseph Lalley, senior associate vice president of technologies and administrative services, Harry Wyatt, associate vice president for architecture, design and construction, and Shawna Bolin, director of university planning and space management.
Facilities representatives refused to comment until after the forum is over.
