The Ohio Department of Health recorded four new COVID-19 related deaths this past weekend for Athens County, bringing the county’s death toll to 111.
The department also recorded 238 new COVID cases. The county currently has over 2,500 active cases and a testing positivity rate of 16.2%.
So far, 52.83% of Athens residents have begun the vaccination process, with 49.15% fully vaccinated. Over 16,000 Athens residents have received additional booster doses.
