After a dreadful loss to Toledo Tuesday night, Ohio is now tied for last in the Mid-American Conference.
The Bobcats’ conference schedule has included five of the top six teams in the MAC, with three of those games coming on the road, but a 1-4 record is certainly not the start they were hoping for.
The schedule lightens up a bit this weekend, as Ohio welcomes a pair of teams just ahead of them in the standings, starting with Central Michigan.

Series History
Ohio has dominated Central Michigan recently, winning each of the last five matchups between the two, most recently a 26-point win last season.
Before that, however, the Chippewas owned the rivalry, winning eight in a row between 2014 and 2018.
Ohio head coach Jeff Boals has never lost to Central Michigan.
Player to watch
Elmore James - Ohio’s game against Toledo was nothing short of a disaster, but the one bright spot was James scoring a career-high 21 points. Boals has shortened Ohio’s rotation over the last few weeks, and James made a strong case to be a bigger part of it Tuesday.
