Kiyanna Black earned MAC Player of the Week after she scored 38 points Saturday night against Toledo.
Kiyanna Black was honored as the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
It is the fourth time this year that Black, a senior guard, has received the award.
The accolade comes after her 38-point performance Saturday afternoon, when Ohio (19-4, 11-1 MAC) beat Toledo on the road. Her career high is 39 points, set in January against Central Michigan.
Black shot 50 percent on 3-point attempts and finished with a 51.8 percent field goal percentage. She also tied the school and conference record for 3-pointers in a game with 10.
Black leads the team with 18.7 points per game and is third in the MAC in scoring. She also leads the MAC with the most three-pointers made with 87.
Ohio will face Miami on Wednesday night in The Convo.
