Athens County Humane Society hosts Galentine's Day celebration

Saturday, February 15, the Athens County Humane Society fundraising committee hosted a Galantine's Day lunch to celebrate the women they work with and the impact they've made on the Athens community. All proceeds from the event benefited the Athens County Humane Society. The fundraising board says this is their first event like this and they were very pleased with the turnout. Hocking Hills Garment Center threads jobs, sustainability together

Athens native, Betsy Franjola, created the Hocking Hills Garment Center by repurposing an old church into a factory in Buchtel, Ohio. Franjola hopes to create meaningful jobs in the community, while also supplying local businesses with sustainable, quality clothing. Dairy Barn holds Create to Donate art class to give back to community

Academic Achievement Center expands to new locations

Sustainability efforts make OU the top 'Green Campus' in Ohio

OU Office of Health Promotion advocates for mental health
