Two nights, eight total hours and 124,693 total attendees between two nights in Las Vegas, Nevada, marked WrestleMania 41. With highly emotional storylines, many popular stars featured and John Cena’s final WrestleMania, WrestleMania 41 was arguably the most hyped in WWE history. The event’s action certainly proved why.
Here is a recap of every match from WrestleMania 41:
Night one: April 19
Night one’s opening match, World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso defeats Gunther
From the very moment fans heard “Uso!” and Uso’s theme song began, WWE fans knew this match was going to be electric. It certainly was, with plenty of slaps, spears, powerbombs and sleeper. holds
The 2025 Men's Royal Rumble winner, Uso, after 15 years in WWE and many doubting if he could ever do it, defeated Gunther to win the World Heavyweight Championship. It is his second career singles title and first world title of his fifteen-year career.
World Tag Team Championship: The New Day defeats The War Raiders
Despite the amount of abuse Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day took, the tag team faction stole the World Tag Team titles from Erik and Ivar of The War Raiders. The New Day won their twelfth tag-team championship in the faction’s history.
The four wrestlers' athleticism certainly showed with plenty of athletic moves, which stole the show in the match. The New Day certainly stole the match using dirty tactics, which could potentially set up future storylines between these two factions.
Jade Cargill defeats Naomi
After Naomi attacked Cargill before Survivor Series in November, Cargill returned at Elimination Chamber in March to attack Naomi. The event erased her shot at the Women's World Championship and set these heated rivals up for an emotional match at WrestleMania 41.
In the match, which can only be described as pure strength, Cargill defeated Naomi and got her revenge. Cargill put together an incredibly impressive performance, proving why she was such a highly anticipated prospect when she first arrived at the company just over a year ago.
United States Championship: Jacob Fatu defeats LA Knight
Although he might be a villain for storyline standards, Fatu's performance before winning the United States Championship had the Las Vegas crowd on their feet cheering in joy. Since joining WWE in June 2024, Fatu, nicknamed the “Samoan Werewolf,” has certainly captured the heart of WWE fans. He is a fan favorite and a joy to watch as he continues his rise into superstardom.
El Grande Americano defeats Rey Fenix
While Rey Mysterio unfortunately suffered a last-minute injury removing him from this match, the new coming prospect Fenix stepped in at the last minute for his first appearance at WrestleMania. After many dirty moves and putting a metal plate in his mask, El Grande Americano defeated Fenix in both of their WWE debuts.
WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton defeats Charlotte Flair
“It’s Tiffy time” with a career-defining win for Stratton, who defeated 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Flair. Stratton is currently in her first title reign. Fans believe she can have a career like Flair, a 14-time world champion with a Hall of Fame caliber career. Stratton, who won her title after cashing in her Money in the Bank to win the title last September, won her first-ever WrestleMania match and is another key piece of WWE’s future.
Night One’s Main Event: Seth Rollins defeats CM Punk and Roman Reigns
He is Seth “Freakin” Rollins, an architect, visionary and revolutionary. After Paul Heyman’s shocking betrayal of Reigns and Punk, Rollins accepted Heyman as his manager and used Heyman to beat Reigns and Punk in the main event of night one.
Rollins, known for putting a chair into the back of Reigns, did so again. He also used a curb-stomp to defeat the former WWE champion and Punk, who was in his first WrestleMania main event.
Night Two: April 20
Night two’s opening match, Women’s World Championship: Iyo Sky defeats Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair
After over a month of tension between the defending champion Sky, Women’s Elimination Chamber winner Belair and former two-time champion Ripley, a triple threat match was the only way to properly settle the dispute.
During the second opening night match, Belair and Ripley displayed their strength and power, while Sky displayed her speed and athleticism. The audience was on their feet and cheering loudly for the majority of the fight.
By the match’s end, Sky took advantage of Ripley and Belair’s feud and defended her Women’s World Championship. She received a standing ovation from the crowd as a result. An overall fantastic start to night two.
Sin City street fight: Drew McIntyre defeats Damien Priest
Last year at WrestleMania 40, Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank on McIntyre to win himself the World Heavyweight Championship. With both men having lost their titles and having developed a harsh feud afterwards, a street fight match between the two giants was the perfect way to settle it.
The match was pure chaos, with McIntyre taking a selfie with a hurt Priest and posting it on X at the beginning of the fight. In an entertaining match featuring tables, chairs, slams and punches, McIntyre survived and beat Priest after the two men took a beating.
Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio defeats Finn Balor, Penta and Bron Breakker
In WrestleMania, even if the character is a hated villain, every fan will stand and cheer if it is their first major title. Mysterio had been a hated villain for years. After winning the Intercontinental Championship and turning on teammate Balor to do so, Mysterio won his first singles title in his wrestling career.
The win was an incredible ending to an awesome and entertaining fatal four-way. Just as Uso did on night one, a long career with a lot of grinding cashed out into gold on wrestling’s grandest stage.
Randy Orton defeats Joe Hendry
First and foremost, many wrestling fans are wishing for Kevin Owens to have a speedy recovery from his neck surgery, the reason he could not fight Randy over the weekend.
As far as the match goes, Hendry was one of the most anticipated WWE arrivals of the year, and when Orton said he would accept an open challenge, many thought it would be Hendry stepping in. Long story short, the fans got their wish. Unfortunately for Hendry, there was no beating The Viper in his 20th WrestleMania. It was a fun match to watch, but a quick win for Randy Orton.
Logan Paul defeats AJ Styles
In a boring match, Paul won and put himself back into potential title contention. Styles might find himself in a future storyline with Karrion Kross, who interfered with the match.
Women’s Tag-Team Championship: Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch defeat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
After Valkyria’s original tag partner, Bayley, was injured the night prior, Valkyria needed a replacement to help her in the match. Luckily for her, she found the perfect fit: “The Man” Lynch, returning from her 10-month hiatus and Valkyria’s fellow Irishman.
Lynch went on hiatus after losing her Women’s World Championship to Morgan. In a very fun match, Lynch gets her revenge on Morgan for her and Valkyria to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships. It allowed Valkyria, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, to hold a second championship belt. Welcome back, Lynch.
Night two Main Event, Undisputed WWE Championship: Cena makes history
One of the most hyped-up title matches in modern history was Cody Rhodes and Cena for the Undisputed Championship in Cena’s last WrestleMania. After Cena turned heel and attacked Rhodes alongside The Rock and Travis Scott at Elimination Chamber, the stage was set for a fireworks-level match at WrestleMania in the main event of night two.
The opening stages of the match were slow, as Cena and Rhodes certainly took their time to feel each other out and listen to the roars of the crowd. After the start, Cena picked it up a bit, reminding the crowd of who ran the industry for over a decade while Rhodes looked out of sorts. Cena was dominating.
Although he’s supposed to be a heel in the storyline, the fans were loving it and hoped for Cena to win his record-breaking 17th world title. Despite Cena’s best efforts to get a three count, Rhodes kept kicking out and keeping the match alive.
Scott entered the ring to help Cena; Rhodes introduced him to his finishing move called Crossroads. Then, Cena attacked Rhodes and used Scott's distraction to win his record-breaking 17th world title, putting a close to WrestleMania 41. The event was certainly one for the books.
