OUPD issues crime alert after reported sexual imposition at Memorial Auditorium

The Ohio University Police Department issued a crime alert Friday following a report of sexual imposition, which occurred Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium Thursday, April 17.

A woman working at MemAud reported being inappropriately touched around 9:13 p.m. while showing patrons to their seats, according to the report. 

The suspect, an unidentified white male between 40 and 60 years old, reportedly grabbed the victim’s left breast as he walked by. He is described as taller than 5’5", heavy-set, with short, dark-grey hair, facial stubble and wearing light-wash jeans and a dark grey hoodie at the time of the incident.

BEST Security alerted OUPD officers on duty at the event. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The case remains under active investigation.
