Softball: What to know for Miami

Ohio (28-12 overall, 11-4 Mid-American Conference) is on a two-game winning streak after picking up two victories in a doubleheader against the Bowling Green Falcons Tuesday afternoon away from home. The Bobcats will return to Ohio Softball Field this Friday and Saturday to face off against a familiar foe, the Miami RedHawks (26-19 overall, 15-4 MAC).

Miami recently completed a doubleheader at home against the Akron Zips. It lost the first game 2-3 in nine innings, but won the second 8-0 in five innings.

The final game of the series on Saturday will serve as Ohio’s Senior Day with Skipp Miller, CiCi Keidel, Emma Hoffner, Lauren Yuhas and Maddie Wilcox being honored and recognized before the start of the contest. Below is everything you need to know before the first pitch on Friday.

Miami notes

It always seems to come down to Miami for Ohio. Not only do the RedHawks have one of the best records in the MAC, but they also have the best record period.

However, the Bobcats are right behind them in the conference. Both teams are this good for specific reasons. They are both highly talented teams that thrive on both the offensive and defensive sides of softball. Also, Saturday being Senior Day will surely make a matchup worth seeing for whoever you're rooting for.
