History

The Bobcats have played in three of the last four matchups away from home, and their record shows that playing in Kalamazoo has advantages for the Broncos, who have won all three matchups there. On the positive side, Ohio's one victory came last year in The Convo, where the contest will be on Wednesday night.

The contest has been gritty over the past 20 seasons. The Broncos have a narrow 2-game edge over the Bobcats, who are 12-14 in the 26 games.

Player to watch (Ohio): Kennedi Watkins

Senior guard Kennedi Watkins led the charge the first time these two teams squared off, as she scored nearly half of Ohio’s points in the evening. She is Ohio’s leading scorer this season and a pivotal part of what makes the offense go. She also provided a solid effort on defense, collecting five rebounds and two steals in Kalamazoo. Ohio will need another strong effort from her to help bring home a win for the crowd in Athens.

Player to watch (Western Michigan): Hannah Spitzley

Western has the worst offense in the MAC by points per game. They will fall back on senior guard Hannah Spitzley to fill the stat sheet on both ends. She leads the team with just under 14 points, five rebounds, and an assist per game. She also has collected 61 steals and 18 blocks throughout the year to anchor a top 5 MAC defense.
