After picking up three wins this past weekend, Ohio (20-8, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) looks to extend its winning streak against Northern Illinois (7-17, 2-4). This will be Ohio’s second MAC series of the season as it looks to stay undefeated in a conference where it was selected to finish first.
The Bobcats would improve to 6-0 in the MAC with a sweep of the Huskies on the road this weekend. After a three-game series to start MAC play at home, this will be Ohio’s first road test in the conference.

Northern Illinois Notes
While Northern Illinois hasn’t looked the best, it can still be a competitive team. The Huskies are currently going into the matchup with Ohio on a four-game losing streak, with Ohio carrying way more momentum from its hot streak of games this past weekend. Most of the losses in the losing streak were close games, though, with a game against Miami going to 8 innings.
Northern Illinois does have a winning record at home, but it has been a small sample size with only three games played. Nonetheless, any road game in the MAC will prove a unique challenge that Ohio will have to conquer.
