Ohio (11-13, 7-6 Mid-American Conference) will be back in action Tuesday night when the team hosts Kent State (2-21, 1-12 MAC).

Ohio is coming off another weekend split, having taken a 3-2 loss to Central Michigan Friday, before winning 3-2 Saturday to build toward a strong finish to this season. On the other hand, Kent State is coming off its first win in conference play Saturday, snapping an 18-game losing streak.

Here’s everything to know ahead of the matchup.

Player to watch (Ohio): Anna Kharchynska

The Bobcats will look to Kharchynska to be a difference-maker in a winning effort. Kharchynska, alongside sophomore Kam Hunt, is in the top five in the MAC in both kills and points, tallying a combined 737 kills and 819.5 points.

The Golden Flashes should also be on the lookout for senior, Makenna Schafer, who earned a career-high 18 kills in the victory on Saturday. The front line for the Bobcats cannot be effective without the play of their setters, freshman Bryn Janke and junior Chariti McKeller, who have a combined 897 assists.

Player to Watch (Kent State): Mackenzie McGuire

After leading the way in the first matchup, Kent will look to their season kill leader, who came away with 14, junior Mackenzie McGuire.

She has led a struggling Kent team at the strings and will be the engine behind a win on Tuesday. Another junior is the leading passer for the Golden Flashes; Kendall White has been the primary setter for the year, setting up some very successful players up front with 526 assists on the year.
