Ohio State notes

Last year, these two teams met at around the same time in the season for a game in Columbus, and Ohio State ran away with it, winning 85-45. This season, the Buckeyes are in prime condition to run up the score like that again.

Ohio State is currently the No. 12 team in the country and 3-0 to start the season. Their wins have come against Cleveland State, Charlotte and Belmont, but this team is loaded with talent despite the lackluster competition.

Player to watch: Chance Gray

Despite being left off the preseason All-Big Ten team, junior guard and Oregon transfer Chance Gray has been elite to start the year for Ohio State. The Cincinnati native has been putting up great numbers so far this season as the primary option for the Buckeyes. She is averaging 17.3 points per game and 2.3 assists per game so far this season.

Her scoring has come at an extremely efficient clip as well, shooting 51.4% from the field, 52.0% from three and 75.0% from the free-throw line to start the year.
