David Moore was announced as Ohio University’s next vice president for finance and administration. He will begin his role on Jan. 6, 2025, Ohio University announced in a news release.
John Day, who has served as interim vice president for finance and administration since Nov. 2, 2023, will soon retire and be followed by Moore.
For the past 20 years, Moore has served in leadership positions at George Mason University, within the University of California system and most recently at Rutgers University.
Ohio University President Lori Stewart Gonzalez said in the press release she thinks Moore will be the right person to fill the role.
“David brings a wealth of experience and expertise in financial leadership, particularly in higher education,” Gonzalez said in the press release.
Moore said he is excited by this new opportunity to be OU’s next chief financial officer. He also said OU is investing in its future to become a leader in the higher education landscape, especially with its Dynamic Strategies.
