Students report campus Wi-Fi issues despite IT upgrades

After moving to campus, many students have found themselves having trouble with technology. The complaints range from slow wi-fi to printers being down in Alden. However, Jeffrey Kinnard, an architect for the university’s network and voice infrastructure, disagrees and feels that wi-fi has been better than in recent years. While the 2024 Olympics were full of memorable moments, the Paralympics certainly held their own as well in terms of triumphs. Everything from an armless archer becoming a four-time paralympian and gold medalist to an athletic power couple from the Olympics and the Paralympics was seen in the city of love, alongside much, much more. Athena Cinema unites students, locals through outdoor movie screenings

After opening over 100 years ago in 1915, the Athena Cinema has made quite a name for itself, both in Athens and in the hearts of students and alumni alike. In May 2023, the theater started its beloved outdoor rooftop movie screenings. Since then, the event has become a crowd favorite. The cinema does it roughly once a month, charging about $8 for tickets. Read the full story here.

Anti-abortion protesters draw crowds to College Green

Ohio University students and local community members gathered to protest several anti-abortion groups on College Green and in Ohio University’s Morton Hall where a speech given by Kristan Hawkins, CEO of the Pro-Life Generation and president of Students for Life of America took place.
