OU expects decrease in first-year enrollment

  • Ohio University is expecting a smaller freshman class this academic year, after previous years of record-breaking first-year enrollment. Although reasons for the decline vary, factors such as challenges receiving financial aid, FAFSA forms, cutting enrollment in certain programs and nearing maximum capacity are prominent. Katy Perry’s newest era brings controversy

  • Katy Perry has stirred controversy and questions surrounding the success and popularity of her recent album announcement. The upcoming album “143” has not been painted in the best light, due to poor promotion and “WOMAN’S WORLD” having four men on the production team. Perry’s recent albums have been noted by fans to lack diversity in her sound, with her recent music reflecting the same bubblegum pop and dance beat her music had in 2008, and her singles have not been performing well with her two new singles struggling to get streams. The Lo-Down: WNBA should award two rookies

  • Opinion: In his column, Logan expresses his opinion that he thinks two rookies, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, deserve to share the Rookie of the Year, which has only happened twice: in 1995 and 2000. Logan argues this because Clark led the Fevers to a record above .500 and an average of 18.9 points and 8.4 assists per game, while Reese had 13.2 rebounds per game, achieved the most offensive rebounds in a season and spearheaded a new identity for her team. Both fanbases are vying to see their favorite athletes be crowned the Rookie of the Year, but neither side is acknowledging the fact that both are currently the most popular WNBA players, bringing in all-time-high merchandise and ticket sales.
