Athens County Sheriff's Office responded to a request for assistance from the Adult Parole Authority on Hawk Road in New Marshfield. A man was found in possession of weapons while under disability.

The man was apprehended and transported to the regional jail for violating Adult Parole Authority regulations.

Missing but not forgotten

A report of a stolen vehicle was filed from the Perry Ridge Road area, according to the Athens County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle, a brown 2013 Honda Civic with a broken passenger side mirror, was reported missing.

Athens County Sheriff's Office responded to Robinette Ridge Road in New Marshfield following a report of a domestic dispute. Deputies mediated the situation where a male expressed distress because his family would not give him a ride into town.

The parties agreed to separate within the home and officers returned to patrol.

Deputies responded to a report of gunfire and glass shattering out of a vehicle on Strouds Run Road in Athens, according to the Athens County Sheriff's Office.

A report was taken upon arrival and an investigation is pending at this time.

Athens County Sheriff's Office responded to a trespassing complaint on Mill Creek Road in Millfield. It was discovered that the female involved had previously trespassed on the property.

She was directed to leave the premises with potential charges of criminal trespass.

According to the Athens County Sheriff's Office, deputies encountered a loose canine while on routine patrol on Vore Ridge Road.

Deputies could not catch the dog, who ran away each time deputies attempted to capture it.

Athens County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to Mansfield Road in Athens about an intoxicated male. The individual was found to be highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct before being transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Athens County Sheriff's Office was contacted regarding a stolen firearm from The Plains area.

A report was filed and the firearm was entered into the system as stolen.

Deputies were dispatched to South Canaan Road following reports of a horse and donkey in the roadway, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

The animals were safely secured after contacting the owner.

Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle report on Brozak Road in Stewart. Deputies discovered a male individual inside in possession of suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

The incident remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to a call in Coolville involving an individual who was naked and incoherent, requesting narcotics and bleeding from the hand, according to Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

Athens County EMS attended to the individual experiencing a medical emergency and was transported to the hospital. A no-trespass order was requested by the resident and completed by officers.

Getting lit in Athens

Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of illegal burning at Dudley Drive and Nurad Road in Athens. Deputies found evidence of a burnt brush on the scene.

The homeowner was informed of burn laws, and deputies resumed regular patrol duties.

A deputy spoke with a male over the phone regarding a theft of copper wire in Stewart, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Department.

A report was filed on the incident.

Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a report over the phone regarding property theft. The caller alleged that her deceased boyfriend's mother was withholding her property.

The case is currently under further investigation.

“There’s a snake in my boot!”

Deputies responded to a report of a snake inside a residence on U.S. Route 50 in Albany, according to Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies captured and removed the snake from the premises.
