Sandra Harris is the new executive director of the Kennedy Museum of Art and will start her new role July 1, Ohio University announced in a news release.
Harris is taking over for former director Ed Pauley, who held the position from 2008 to fall 2023, according to the release.
The release notes Harris’s experience spans various museums and cultural institutions nationwide, previously serving as executive director of American Women Artists.
She has also worked at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas, the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology at UC Berkeley, the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University and the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Arizona, according to the release.
Harris found her calling in museum work because of the variety of needs required for success and it combines education, art and history, Harris said in the release.
