University of Massachusetts Amherst is set to return to the Mid-American Conference in 2025-26, according to a reportfrom Nicole Auerbach of the Athletic. The Conference voted to invite UMass as a new member on Monday, and the school is expected to accept the invitation.
UMass is expected to join the Conference in all sports. UMass is currently independent in football and an Atlantic-10 school in basketball.
From 2012-2015, UMass was a football member of the MAC but will now join the MAC in all sports.
