Western Michigan Notes

Currently ranking last in the MAC as the only team to have lost their first four games of conference play, the Broncos haven’t done much of note this season. However, with Ohio having a worse record overall, it is not a game the team can afford to take lightly.

The Bobcats can not afford to let their opponents get hot from the 3-point line, as the Broncos have been prone to do in their wins this season. While their percentage from behind the arc (31%) is not anything to write home about, they are top 100 in the country in both attempts and makes, which can be a deadly sign on a good shooting day.

Player to Watch: Kaitlyn Zarycki

Zarycki’s numbers, especially among her MAC peers, speak for themselves. She is third in points per game, tied for 11th in assists per game, third in steals per game and first in free throw percentage. Keeping her from impacting the game in the several facets she’s prone to impacting it in is going to be key for the Bobcats.
