With the regular season in full swing, Ohio was on the road this weekend in New York to compete against Niagara.
Saturday night’s game ended with a 1-0 score; Niagara won with a shutout.
While the team did put up a fight offensively, as Ohio ended with 32 shots on goal, the team was unable to score a goal in the game.
It was also a rather quiet game in terms of penalties, as the only power play was in the second period with Will Cohen for cross-checking. This is a drastic change compared to last weekend when the Bobcats had 12 penalties in two games.
In their second game on Saturday night, the Bobcats lost in a massive 1-7 score to Niagara, meaning the team would be winless in its two-game series against Niagara.
By the end of the first period, the Bobcats were already down 4-1. Noah Holt scored the only goal of the game during a power play with 12 minutes left in the period.
Prepping for a new weekend of games, Ohio will be taking on Adrian College this Thursday in Michigan and Friday at home in Athens.
