Ohio has a pivotal series this weekend with Toledo. It’s tied for second place in the Mid-American Conference, and a few wins this weekend could set Ohio apart.
The Bobcats need to take a few games from the Rockets, who are stuck in the middle of the pack. The Rockets lost two of three against the Golden Flashes last weekend, so they need some wins, too.
Ohio’s going to need to have all of its ducks in a row this weekend.

Player to watch
Zach Weber — Weber’s brief relief appearance on Tuesday showed that the sophomore has regained his control. Weber put up a clean sheet over 2 and 1/3 innings against Morehead State. Weber hadn’t made an appearance since Ohio’s first loss to Morehead State, when he gave up three runs on three hits. However, now he looks the best he has all season.
