Baseball: What to know about Marshall

Last weekend Ohio continued its Mid-American Conference hot streak with a three-game sweep of Toledo, which moved it back into the top four of the MAC. The Bobcats have won eight of their last nine conference matchups and eight of the last ten overall. 

In nonconference action, Ohio will open its two-game season series against Marshall at home Tuesday afternoon.

Player to Watch

Alec Patino — In last weekend’s sweep at Toledo, the junior from Sioux City, Iowa, had a combined four hits, knocked in five RBI and hit two home runs. On the season, he’s hitting .343 and has a total of 35 RBIs, along with six home runs–he has recorded at least one RBI in each of the last seven games.
