ACRN’s Lobsterfest kicks off its annual weekend-long music festival at The Union, 18 W. Union St. Headliners include shoegaze-rock band Wednesday, as well as local acts Forest Fucker, babywave and kaiba. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Attendance: $10 for those under 21, $8 for 21+
Mom’s Weekend Dairy Barn Fest is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dairy Barn Arts Center, 8000 Dairy Lane. Featuring more than 40 local artisans, the event will display handcrafted jewelry, pottery, paintings and gifts for sale. The event is hosted by the Campus Involvement Center.

Mom’s Weekend: Salsa Caliente will be in Baker University Center, MCC 219. Hosted by the Latinx Service Coalition, there will be salsa dancing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. No experience is necessary and the event is open to all levels of dancers. There will be dancing, music, snacks and refreshments as well.
Attendance: Free, with raffle ticket pricing as 1 for $1, 10 for $5 and 15 for $10
Saturday, April 1
Moms Weekend Day Hike hosted by Outdoor Pursuits is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees will meet at Ping Center and travel to Conkle Hollow in Hocking Hills to view features such as dramatic ridgelines, sandstone cliffs and rock formations. Participants should wear hiking clothing and bring water.
Attendance: $15
UPC Presents: Moms Weekend Paint n’ Sip will be in Baker 240 and 242 at Baker University Center. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., students and their moms can enjoy painting and refreshments.

Ohio University Moms Weekend: “MAMMA MIA!” will be at the Athena Cinema, 20 S. Court St. The theater will be showing “MAMMA MIA!” at 11 a.m. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be available for purchase. The specialty drink for Saturday’s showing is a mimosa.

Sunday, April 2
Moms Weekend Day Paddle is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hocking River. Students can connect with others and their moms during a day paddle on the river. Participants will leave from Ping Center at 10 a.m.

Ohio Softball vs. Ball State will be at the Ohio Softball Field, located at 140 S. Shafer St., from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Ohio softball team will be taking on Ball State as part of its Turn It Gold game, which aims to raise awareness in the fight against pediatric cancer. The first 50 fans in attendance will receive a free Bobcats hat.
Attendance: Free for students, $2-5 for non-students
Moms Weekend Fitness Classes will be held at Ping Center. Starting at 12:15 p.m, there will be a yoga class hosted on the front lawn of the recreation center for students and their moms.
