Ohio University Graduate Student Senate met Tuesday to discuss the passage of the OU’s Student Senate’s bill urging the university to provide free period products in all bathrooms across campus.
The body heard from Women’s Affairs Commissioner Megan Handle, who talked about the bill passed by the senate during the last General Body meeting.
Handle said Ohio Student Senate provides free period products in the women’s bathrooms in Baker Student Center and on the second and fourth floors of Alden Library. The bill passed by the senate recommends that the university provide free period products in all bathrooms on campus.
President Kübra Civan said Graduate Student Senate might write a resolution to support Ohio Student Senate’s bill.
