The third Classics and Cocktails event at the Athena Cinema, 20 S. Court St., is being held at 7 p.m. This week, the film is "Breakfast at Tiffany's," with the specialty cocktail being a Tiffany 75.

Ohio University School of Dance is showcasing its work at this year's Winter Dance Concert on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be held in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium and will feature choreography from faculty and other guest artists.

The Uplifting Diversity Weekend Tour hosted by Appalachian Understories begins on Friday and continues through Sunday. The tour is guided and participants can learn about the history and culture of Appalachian Ohio beginning in Stewart, Ohio. The tour focuses on the stories of Black Appalachians and their role in the region's development.

Saturday, Feb. 18:
Celebrate Ohio University's Founders Day Birthday Bash in Baker University Center Ballroom from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. OU is turning 219 this year, and there will be food, activities, performances and more to celebrate.

Ping Recreation Center is hosting the first Intramural 3-point contest for the spring season. The contest begins at 5 p.m.
Admission: $5 registration fee
Athens Public Library, 30 Home St., is hosting an Author/Artist Book Event with Tad Gallaugher and Eldon Kraft from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. They will be discussing their newly-released book, "An Odd Collection of Very, Very Short Stories," and all of the work that went into it.

Sunday, Feb. 19:
Outdoor Pursuits is hosting a day hike at Strouds Run State Park. The hike begins at 10 a.m. and is hosted by a staff guide. Prior hiking experience is optional. Participants can meet at Ping Recreation Center to depart.

Ohio University School of Music is hosting a concert in the First United Methodist Church, 2 College St., at 6 p.m. The Choral Union and University Singers will be performing.
