Men's Basketball: Everything to know about Central Michigan

Last time Ohio went on the road, it picked up its first Mid-American Conference road win of the season, taking down Northern Illinois in a hard-fought win.

Since then, the Bobcats have notched a pair of impressive home wins over Buffalo and Akron to move to 7-6 in MAC play and 12-1 in The Convo.

Ohio has an opportunity to pick up another conference road win this weekend against Central Michigan.

Series History

Since Ohio’s 96-68 win on Jan. 21, Central Michigan is 3-4 and currently holds a one-game lead for the final qualification spot for the MAC Tournament. Central Michigan claimed that spot with a 77-74 win over Bowling Green on Tuesday.

The Bobcats absolutely dominated the first game between the two teams, hitting a season-high 15 3-pointers in the 28-point blowout, their second-largest win of the season.

Miles Brown dropped a career-high 27 points on the Chippewas in the first game and hit 6-of-9 3-pointers.

Player to watch

Elmore James: James made his first start of the season in the first matchup against Central Michigan and has only gotten better since. He’s scored in double figures in four of Ohio’s last five games, including 15 against Buffalo on Tuesday.
