Ohio may have lost a rare game last weekend, but it also got a big win.
By defeating the No.1 team in the American Collegiate Hockey Association on Friday, the Bobcats proved they are ready for anything. They won't have to worry too much this weekend, though, as they only play one game against Robert Morris at home.
Robert Morris has the fourth and fifth best scorers in the ACHA but has only scored 100 goals on the season. In addition, Ohio's defense has only allowed 60 goals this season, which is the sixth fewest in the ACHA.
Game Information:
Opponent: Robert Morris (15-10)
Location: Bird Arena
Date and Time: Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.
Series History:
This is not the first season that Ohio and Robert Morris have competed in a one-off game. They played once last season when Ohio dominated in a 7-3 win. Current players Andrew Sacca and Jake Burke both scored goals in the win.
The Bobcats last played Robert Morris in 2018. That year, they played in two two-game series, and Ohio won three of the four games. Over the past 10 seasons, the Bobcats are 8-3-1 against the Colonials.
Player to watch:
Lucas Renzoni
Renzoni has seen increased time on the ice over the past couple of weeks, playing in all of the Bobcats' last six games. He even scored his first goal as a Bobcat on Saturday. Watch out for Renzoni to potentially score again this coming Saturday.
