Ohio has played 25 games in Bird Arena this season, and it will play its final two this weekend.
Niagara is the latest team to come to Athens, looking to give Ohio a rare loss. However, Ohio, now the No. 3 team in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, has only lost four games at home.

Series History:
The Bobcats' last series against the Purple Eagles was arguably their worst of the 2021-22 season. They gave up two leads and lost both games that weekend in overtime. The losses started a rough stretch for the Bobcats, where they lost 11 of their last 12 games.
Before last season, Ohio and Niagara hadn’t played since 2013.
Player to Watch:
Ryan Higgins– Higgins has been working behind the scenes on offense, as he has an assist in nine of Ohio’s last 11 games. He had three in Ohio’s last game against Liberty and helped three different players earn goals in the 4-2 win.
Friday and Saturday will also be Higgins' final games played in Bird Arena. The fifth-year senior has been an influential part of the Bobcats over the last five years. It will be difficult for them to replace his dedication and skill on the ice.
