Ohio University Police Department reported Wednesday that an assault and burglary occurred at True House on Sunday.
OUPD also reported unlawful restraint at the residence hall.
According to the OUPD report, an individual trespassed with the purpose to commit a criminal offense, which resulted in the burglary offense. The unlawful restraint offense occurred because the perpetrator knowingly restrained another person's “liberty.” An assault was also reported, though the details were not included by OUPD.
OUPD submitted those offenses to the Athens County Prosecutor's Office.
A second assault offense was reported Wednesday, which occurred on Sunday in Read Hall.
The report stated an individual was hit in the face by a person they did not know.
