A look at the weekend:
A weak system will impact the region late Saturday and into Sunday, bringing an elevated chance for rain throughout most of the weekend. Despite the dreary conditions, winds from the southwest will bring a warm-up for most of the weekend, with highs potentially into the low 70s, and lows in the 50s. Rain chances linger into next week.
Coming up next week:
The system will continue to dump rain on Athens through Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday. Once the lingering showers from that system clear out, the rest of spring break will be clear and calm. Temperatures will be slightly cooler following the passage of the system, with highs in the upper 40s, gradually warming to near 60 by the end of the week, and lows will increase with the highs.
