Hockey: Ohio looks to turn things around as Central States Collegiate Hockey League playoffs begin

It’s officially playoff time for Ohio.

The Bobcats finished their regular season with a 14-13-2 record and now head to Ames, Iowa for the Central States Collegiate Hockey League playoffs. Ohio has lost 11 of its last 12 games and must turn things around if it has any hopes of going far in the playoffs.

Ohio will face off against Roosevelt in the first round. If the Bobcats win, they stay in and advance. If they lose, they'll be going home as quickly as they arrived.

Game information

Opponent: Roosevelt

Location: Ames/ISU Ice Arena (Ames, Iowa)

Date: Feb. 25 at 8:30 p.m. EST.

Ohio vs. Roosevelt History

Ohio has faced Roosevelt in two different series this season, sweeping it both times. The Bobcats hosted the first series at Bird Arena in early October, and outscored the Lakers 17-3 in that series. The Lakers hosted the second series at The Edge Ice Arena in late November and the Bobcats earned another series sweep with 4-2 and 8-4 wins. Ohio will look for similar results in its bid for a lengthy run in the CSCHL playoffs.
